Sessions are a great way to showcase the wonderful aspects of a family. Whether we’re at a park, the studio, or even your home, my goal is to keep everyone feeling comfortable and the kids happy and engaged. Reading books, cuddling on the couch, jumping on the bed…whatever it takes to have a great time and how we do it is completely up to you. **Giggles required!**
With each session, I offer complimentary consultation time & access to my client closet so we can help you and your family dress your best. I have a full closet of accessories for you to enjoy and love working with families to create the perfect look. With my direction you can be sure to show true emotion and happiness with your family. Let’s get creative!
Each session is normally one hour long and is best done around golden hour–the hour before sunset.

Note: Occasionally there is availability for last-minute bookings. While I have several annual clients booking family and special occasion sessions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
What to Expect
What can you expect during a family photoshoot with me? A lot of direction, guidance, laughing, tickling, and playing! This is not a photoshoot where you stand in the same position for an hour.
I have plenty of great outdoor locations to suggest in Connecticut. Some clients prefer to hold the session in the comfort of their home/backyard and that is great too.
An average session is approximately 1 hour.
Will you help us during the session?
Yes, yes, yes! I will not leave you hanging. I will guide you and pose you so you are in the best light, then let the interaction happen naturally. I know most people think they are not “good at taking pictures,” but you don’t need to do anything. Just be yourself!
How to Prepare
It’s always helpful to do some photography research! Anything on my Facebook page is available to incorporate. Backdrops, props, poses, it’s all here for your use. Come prepared with a bag of items to keep young ones entertained, hydrated, and cared for.
Let’s be sure to discuss shoot location details & family wardrobe before the event. It’s important to have everyone comfortable in their attire–and coordinating!
What if my child or I become sick before our session together?
Due to working with newborns, it’s crucial I maintain a strict “no-sick” policy. Sick individuals are not allowed in the studio. Please call at least 24 hours prior to our session date to reschedule.
What Comes After?
Your photo-viewing appointment will be scheduled a few weeks after your photoshoot. This usually takes an hour and this is the time to select your favorites and package options.
Capturing the image is only half of the experience. While the images may look great on your phone or desktop, there is just no comparison between a digital image and a beautifully-framed wall portrait.
We’ll also explore my recommendation of prints, canvases, wall art and albums.

Packages & Pricing
Shooting locations can occur anywhere from my studio, or a beautiful and meaningful outdoor location. New England is full of treasured parks, beaches and scenic areas. It’s not uncommon to travel for the picturesque location.
While we don’t ask you to commit to package type before seeing the photos, we kindly ask to pay the sitting fee in full on the day of the photoshoot.
Packages Starting at $299
Includes:
- An in person consultation prior to your session
- Personalized welcome box
- All props/outfits/backdrops for the session provided (for cake smash parents provide cake)
- Up to 3 studio sets
- Up to 2 hours of shooting time, including little snack/play breaks, and short/sweet/simple portraits including the whole family and separate w siblings only.
- Studio only (these sessions available for outdoor for additional $50)
- Online gallery viewing and ordering
- 10 digital images.
Images are purchased separately at the gallery viewing & ordering appointment held 1-2 weeks after your session. Depending on your family’s needs, amount spent can vary.
